My sweet little 1 year old nephew was over today and I always love to see how he interacts with the iPad. It’s amazing how engaging some iPad learning apps can be. Pretty much any interface that reacts to being ‘slapped’ is a hit amongst the infant set.
The app we tried out today for our wee nephew is Awesome Xylophone. It’s very vibrant visually and the mallets actually ‘hammer’ each note. I’m not sure who enjoyed it more, the 1 year old, or my 11 and 9 year olds.
Check it out at the Apple App store. It’s free to download and here’s some of the details about the app:
-High quality sounds.
-Multi-touch lets you play chords.
-Xylophone mallets animation.
-Highly detailed animation.
What’s your toddler’s favourite app?
